All I can say is that I tried the classic gulikoza's glide build from july 2009 + latest nglide wrapper (0.93) and direct3d (or opengl) dosbox output. the results are brilliant with the 2 3dfx dos games I tried: tombraider and carmageddon. Finally no more need of tricks and hacks to run the game …
