Has anybody gotten their copy of MW2:MERCS to run smoothly in DosBox? Mine is still unplayable because it gets too slow when there are too many bad guys around. You dont need to disable EMS anymore. When you quit the game and you have EMS enabled, it gives you a bunch of error messages, but since it only happens on quitting, who cares.

Does anybody have the mission files for Tie Fighter and its expansion (defender of the empire)? I copied my stiffy disk version of them to CD years back and now those files are missing for some reason.

Woah... I only asked if you guys would mind if I asked for the full game. But I guess that answers my question. My mission directory is empty. Is it meant to be? If so, does anybody know which file could be defective? Problem is, there are alot of files, some as small as 14 bytes. Narrowing down …

Ooh, getting closer. I found a setsound.exe in the SND directory which allows me to configure the sound (it's scratchy in Windows but VDMsound plays it fine). Found another problem though. The game crashes after the first mission if you run it normally, and if you run it through VDMsound, it crashes …

I've applied the latest patch and I've tried compatability mode, still no luck. I've also discovered that AMS (anti-missile systems) also don't work in XP. This makes the game very difficult. I don't think I can finish it without them.

Mechwarrior 3 on XP - Jumpjets don't work

On XP, i can't get jumpjets to work. My mech just vibrates and doesn't go up. Enemy mechs trying to jumpjet also just vibrate on the spot. One of the tutorials are impossible to finish because of this. Any ideas?
