now I find that both devices are a set... I was confused because some eBay auctions are only for the breakout box... still I am always looking for a LAPC-I ... I don't like all these external stuff... I want it all inside the tower 😁

I see on the web that the mpu I got was sold without that little ISA card... could this card be just a simple inteface to the pc? so u can use it without another soudncard?

oh yeah, they are 3... lol so ??? this is NOT an industrial mobo. industrial mobos are not like that, they would have extended ISA slots for SBC, and surely extended PCI slots... It is just a mobo that was designed for people that still need to use ISA cards, hence the high price, limited production …

too bad I cannot find a cm-32l or a lapc-i on ebay... 🤣 any other places to look for one? edit: on this PAGE there is some info and progs for the scc-1 , one of them is a tiny prog, SCMODE used to make scc-1 go to mt-32 mode...

thanx Nagra, but still I cannot understand one thing: if I get the cm-32L, and connect it to the scc-i , then the scc-i is disabled and only used as a midi interface, right? so when a game supports scc-i, then I disconnect the cm-32l? or do they both work ??? 😦

I bought a SCC1-1 for 20euro, and I was wondering if in games , like the Ultima Underworlds for example, choosing the lapc/mt-32 option gives the same result... are these compatible?

emu8000 sounds great, I agree too, but unfortunatelly only in specific games... maybe the ideal setup is : SB16 + DB50XG & Roland SCC1/LAPC1 or SB16 + SCB-55 & Yamaha SW60XG any thoughts on that? 😁

Actually the small manual with mt32 comp. seems to belong to the DREAM WAVETABLE DaughterBoard... not the tbs2000 ...

oh nice... I was worried about roland mt-32/scc1 compatibility... The turtlebeach is a standalone card, the TBS-2000 tropez 32 ??? with wavefront technology apparently and also has a reference in mt-32 mode on a small manual I have for it...

I grabbed 2 SB16's off ebay: Creative Sound Blaster 4 Ch ISA Card CT2970 (6866175461) Creative Sound Blaster ISA Card Vintage CT2980 (6866175516) so I guess the SB part is gone, both have wavetable connectors. so what do you recommend for a DB ? the DB60XG?
