In Wizardry 7, when you choose internal speaker as your sound effects source you will hear a popping noise after each effect is played. I am assuming this is the clicking noise discussed here. I just started a thread about this problem recently over in the games section.

Thanks for the responses. I am using DosBox 0.72 -- I have a real Roland MT-32, CM-64, SC-55 and SCC-1. All of these devices work fine through DosBox. I would not use DosBox if they didn't. I disabled Roland MT-32 support to see if that would make any difference. It didn't. I wouldn't expect it to. …
