what happens to your MT-32 if you get the polarity on the power adaptor wrong, could that explain the voltage spikes through the speaker?

roland mt 32 only outputs 1 channel, not 2 like stereo?

So the output ill be getting is mono? am I look for a cable with two 5.5mm male connectors and two 3.5mm RCA male connectors on the other end?

also, how do i connect my speakers up to the roland. do i use the L and R mono outputs? or the midi out? what kinda cable, the L and R outputs look too big to be for R-C-A plugs.
