First thing is in Wing Commander, where sometimes the keyboard seems to fail in the game, though some commands still work. I have music in both Wing Commanders even without SCC-1. What soundcard do you use if you don't use an SCC-1? Soundblaster? My WC1/2 won't communicate with the MT-32 through either an SB pro 2.0 or an AWE-32.

I noticed a strange thing with opengl and hq2x. On my desktop Athlon XP 2000+ with Geforce MX440 hq2x and opengl work fine together producing the nicest output I've ever seen from Dosbox. On my notebook (Pentium-M 1.3GHz, Radeon 9000) however, where opengl is a bit slow anyway, activating hq2x along …

I just played Wing Commander with hq2x in opengl mode and it looks great. Hq2x seems to excel at monochrome text where it smoothes out all the edges really nicely. It doesn't like some edges where the graphics artists of the beginning '90s employed manual anti-aliasing.

Ha! After downloading and compilgin automake, autconf and obtaining the png and zlib library everything compiles nicely. Now that I can compile, all that's left is to learn C++ :wink: I know you already dismissed HQ3x but I speculated that this might have to do something with two being even and …

I'm messing here with something I really don't know anything about, so don't take this to serious. When I apply the patch to yesterday's CVS I get undefined references in render.cpp to, e.g. Hq2x_colourTrigger. Patching produces no errors so it might be something wrong in the code.

Fantasy General CD-Audio

I'm trying to get FG run with CD-Audio. The track for the introduction is only played when you choose minimal installation and in-game tracks aren't played at all. Strangely, the intro track isn't played when you choose maximal installation. I'm sure that maximal installation doesn't lead to audio …

If you got the impression I would mock at someone's English skills then I apologize. As I'm not a native speaker myself, I make plenty of mistakes. It was just funny to notice that neither the question _nor_ the answer were easy to decipher.
