Quest for Glory 4 Sound

I was playing through the QfG series with DOSBox .59, and it ran fine up until Quest for Glory 4. The music worked, but sound only worked as long as music was off, and not even always then. The game gave "Granulation errors" while quitting, and even killed DOSBox. At the time I was using C-Media …

Re: Quest for Glory 4

I can wait, I was curious though because I suspected problems with my DOS sound drivers. IS there any reason that there would be differences between CVS version .** and Debug CVS version .**SAME? That threw me off. Magic, yup, played through it before with a new system. There are workarounds for all …

Quest for Glory 4

However, I WAS curious as to whether or not anyone was able to get sound in QfG4 working with the newest CVS version. I'm …

Re: Screenshots of the current CVS

btw, I see peole here has DOSBox version 0.60.. where can I get it? I only see 0.58 in the CVS. http://files.pixelz.org/dosboxcvs.zip totally unsupported, of course, so keep .58 around as well. This would explain not being able to type in your name, not being able to skip things with "enter," "alt+F4" not working, etc. Also, have you tried the newest CVS …

Re: Screenshots of the current CVS

so you've been running it? out of curiosity, have you been able to get sound to work in any form? even when sound works for QG4 in Windows, it doesn't work when running it through DOSBox. also, i wasn't aware that the game had been working for so long. i was only introduced to this project a few …

Re: DOSBOX Extension not Recognized

oh, i was just being an ass. i hate loose terms such as "computer-tech guy" cause it's usually some sweaty nerd who can make a killer batch file, and is thus considered an expert. also, that whole "formatted to play games better" thing sounds like a load of crap. no offense to you, mllyons, but you …
