Having same kind of problem with fresh install of recent VDMsound - attempting to launch a VDMS.bat returns a bunch of errors about soundblaster, midi, joystik and all, beginning with a string WiseMan posted. Registering ATL.dll with regsvr32 C:\Windows\System32\ATL.DLL didn`t do it.
