Re: EXT2 IFS for Windows

Too late... I already moved to Reiser4... By the way... I've installed a ext2fs plugin in Total Commander, and I can read files from my Reiser4. I've not tried to write... i don't want to kill my Linux... Are there any driver/plugin/program that guarantees file read/writing in ext3 or Reiser4?

Re: Where are you from?

Uhhh... what does "others" means? Mars, maybe? I'm "pamplonica" (from Pamplona, Comunidad Foral de Navarra, Spain, Europe). Maybe the best known place in Spain...

Re: Gravis Ultrasound Memory?

in DOSBox General
I think he DID understand what you've said. Did you understand what HE said? If DOSBox emulates a chip that can not address more than 1 Mb, you won't get any benefits of 2 Mb of RAM emulated. The emulated chip won't work with anything more than 1 Mb.

Re: Screamer 2

Sorry... but I didn't realize you were in DOSBox forum. DOSBox doesn't have 3DFX emulation, so I think the latter patch would not help you (unless you play it in XP).

Re: Screamer 2

OK, yes... I've been trying with Screamer Rally. Maybe it would help you: Requirements: - Pentium@100 Mhz (fairly high... you will need a NASA computer with DOSBox). - 16 Mb RAM (32 with Win95, but it doesn't have a native Win9x exe). - A VGA card. - Sound Blaster or compatible (although the game …

Silver (Infogrames, 1999)

in Windows
I have rescued this game from my old games to play, but it doesn't run. I've installed and when I ran the exe, it seems to start but soon it dissapears (without even trying to open a window or change graphic mode). The game doesn't run in 95/98/NT compatibility modes, and it have no patches (some …

Re: Screamer 2

Screamer 2 was a late DOS game... it needed a fairliy high computer (Pentium, I guess)... Do you have enough power to run it at full speed? Anyway... have you tried using VDMSound? Maybe it could run faster. Also, there was a Glide patch for Screamer, Screamer 2 and Screamer rally. You could run it …

Re: DOSBox crashed my machine

in DOSBox General
Try this: 1.- Unplug your Vaio from any power adapter. 2.- Pull off the battery of your computer. 3.- Wait some seconds... or some minutes... 4.- Put on the battery and try to turn on the computer. I don't believe DOSBox is related to your problem... it could be a hardware problem or a windows crash …

Re: SET SOUND in autoexec?

SBFMDRV was a driver for playing FM music with Sound Blasters. s I recall, it was somewhat related to CMF sound files, and there were specific drivers for each sound card. There were different files for Sound Blaster 1.5, Pro and Sound Blaster 16. The driver checks if the correct Sound Blaster is …

Re: Can I ask you a few questions?

in DOSBox General
OK, let's see... ¿MS-DOS 100Kb? I don't think so. MS-DOS 5 came in two 1.44Mb floppies, and MS-DOS 6.22 in three 1.44Mb floppies. I'm agree that you don't need all the files, but... As you're told, you can't install DOS in a Mac... and even if you're trying to install DOS in a PC, DOS can't read any …

Re: Mouse Sensitivity on DOS BOX

in PC Emulation
I had Tie Fighter DOS Floppy and CD version, and I'm pretty sure it was only playable with mouse or joystick. X-Wing was playable with keyboard, but not Tie Fighter. Why don't use a gamepad for playing? Also, I have X-Wing and Tie Fighter 95 and it's only playable with joystick.
