Re: Collecting the Right Hardware for your Compatible PC

in PC Emulation
I'm afraid Great Hierophant isn't totally wrong. Some CGA cards had TV-Out. AFAIK, Sinclair PC200 had TV-Out, and a friend's Toshiba also had TV-Out. Also, no monitor I ever saw has a TV input (but some TFT monitors), so making a monitor PAL, SECAM or NTSC compatible is a nonsense. And I'm with QBiN …

Re: Inaccesible Files

in DOSBox General
I suggest you to post some extra data... - Your systems specs. - Operating system. - DOSBox version. - Configuration of DOSBox. But, I think you have more problems than DOSBox. Yes, there are A LOT of profiles for a " …

Re: core=dynamic instability?

Dynamic core is the fastest cpu mode and also the least compatible. Full core, on the other hand is most compatible and slower mode. A trade-off between speed and compatibility is normal core. Maybe a "normal" core is all you need, but maybe using DOS32 instead os DOS4GW may allow you to use a " …

Re: DosBox and serial port com1

in DOSBox General
1.- It means CTS/RTS flow control. There was two kinds of flow control with serial ports: Hardware (using CTS and RTS lines) and software (also known as XON/XOFF... you send a XON char, a byte of data and then a XOFF char... repeat ad nauseam). Of course, you may use no flow control... and send all …
