Re: Tomb Raider III: Problem

in Windows
Hi everyone. Something surprising just happened. By pure chance, I found the TR3 file folder for the FMVs that I was not able to find before 😮 So I copied the file I was missing into it and sure enough it worked perfectly 😁

Re: Tomb Raider I

in Windows
Fantastic news! Apparently my father's laptop is 32-bit Vista so I can just borrow it to play TR1!!!!! 😁 😁 😁

Re: TR1 on 64-bit Vista problem

I showed my Dad everything you guys wrote but he thinks people go on DOSBox and mess up the programme so that it destroys other people's computers. He also doesn't believe that there is any way of testing if using DOSBox will harm the computer. So it looks like I'll have to wait for Glidos to …

Re: Tomb Raider I

in Windows
I did what you said & I was able to hear all of them. There were only nine, not ten. Although that may be why you said to play 2 to 10 instead of 1 to 10. I was able to hear all the dialogue that is supposed to be in the in-game cut scenes, but all of them (dialogue, music & general sound effects) …

Re: Tomb Raider I

in Windows
batracio, I'm not using DOSBox because my Dad thinks it will harm the computer which I mentioned on that other thread. I definitely haven't downloaded it - I have the disc. Though I'm not really sure what you mean by "sold out" version. Sune Salminen, I'll be sure to look into that eventually. …

TR1 on 64-bit Vista problem

I've got Tomb Raider 1 working, but the in-game cut scenes have no sound. I know there'd be a solution to this if I were using Glidos and VDos32 but since i have 64-bit, not 32-bit Vista, I can't use them. Does anyone know if Glidos is working on a 64-bit version of these? 😢

Re: Tomb Raider I

in Windows
Actually the background music does seem to be missing although I'm way more concerned about the plot line so I really thought nothing of it. I'm looking into some things that may help. Thanks a lot for your replies. 😀

Re: Tomb Raider III: Problem

in Windows
Well, I tried watching it outside of the game with ESCAPEplay which is when I found out that the FMV file was missing for some reason. So, I emailed Stella at Stella's Tomb Raider site asking her to make hers downloadable on her website. She said she hasn't had the time but she did make it …

Re: Tomb Raider I

in Windows
I've been looking into this problem further and it seems that there is a solution to this problem with Windows XP, VDMSound. Unfortunately I have 64-bit Vista. If any body knows how I can get VDMSound to work on 64-bit Win Vista, or if anybody knows of something like VDMSound that will work on 64- …

Tomb Raider III: Problem

in Windows
Every cut scene works perfectly except the one right after you complete the last India level. I mean, you can't hear it, you can't see it, and it doesn't even pause in blackness while it should be happending. It just goes straight to "your level stats". 🙁 Any suggestions?

Re: Tomb Raider I

in Windows
Thanks a lot for all your suggestions, unfortunately none of them worked for me since we don't have the same kind of computer. Sorry for the lateness of my reply but I got sidetracked 😀 If anyone else has any new suggestions, I'm all ears 😕

Re: Tomb Raider I

in Windows
Sorry WD I didn'nt mean to offend you. 🙁 Gidierre, I'll try those things you mentioned & let you know. 😢 EDIT: Yes, I did do that stuff when it was installed.....

Re: Tomb Raider I

in Windows
I went to DOSBox but I'm not sure what to do with it. It seems to just be for installing old games and there doesn't seem to be any way to contact the person/people who run the site.

Re: Tomb Raider I

in Windows
The fmv's are fine, and the sound everywhere else, except the in-game cut scenes. The cut scenes in CG are fine. It's just the in-game cut scenes. Also, what do you mean by "broken"? That problem that you mentioned may possibly be related because it involved poor sound quality and when I select …

Re: Tomb Raider I

in Windows
So, I got it working which is great, but in the in-game cut scenes there is no sound. What do I do? Still considering the computer type is at the top of page. 😢
