Re: Tempest 2000 voices

Thanks for the heads-up :) I tired that version, and although it helped a bit with the scratchy sounds when selecting an SB or SBPro (some scratchiness is still there, though), the voice sound effects sounded even higher in pitch when selecting an SB16 for digital output. @All, BTW, does anyone have …

Re: Tempest 2000 voices

Sorry to bump this old thread, but I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on this problem? As the other posters replied, the voice sound effects are ALMOST the correct pitch when selecting SBPro (as well as SB) for the game's digital output, but the voices are quite scratchy sounding... and …

Mouse axis to keyboard utility/TSR?

in Milliways
I've recently been playing the CD version Tempest 2000 for DOS under DOSBox. The game supports keyboard and joystick, but not the mouse. Does anyone know of a DOS TSR utility that would remap the mouse axis to the up/down/left/right arrow keys on the keyboard? Also, remapping the mouse buttons to …

(re: "apps") Hehe, I just remembered something... maybe the FIRST usage of that term for PC programs ??? Back in the day (1988-1990 or so) I used a DOS menu program called "Point & Shoot" by "Varteck, Inc." -> http://www.vogons.org/download/file.php?id=9119 / http://www.danielsays.com/ss-gallery-dos …

Re: Name of Duke Nukem level

Like Kerr replied, "Duke it Out in DC" was great. Another excellent mission pack/TC was "Platoon" by TNTTeam (hehe, not to be confused with "TeamTNT" of "Eternal DOOM" fame ). TNTTeam went on later to develop the retail "NAM" ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NAM_%28video_game%29 ), which was based on …

Could you explain how you create icons with "visible borders"? Like the icons you've used in the bottom left corner on this screenshot. When I try to size an item, it says "Cannot size this type of item!". According to the helpfile, only icons with visible borders can be resized. Sounds logical, …
