Yep. I agree it doesn't find the joystick - but regardless of core on the latest cvs it crashes with the error above. On your PC does it run?

maybe i wasn't clear. When I decouple the joystick I get that error on privateer. When it isn't decoupled "calibration" always fails on the lower right. Is this excepted?
