Re: RIP 32 bit PC gaming?

in Milliways
Heh I remember rumours that Windows 7 was not going to have a 32bit version and yet here we are and 8.1 still supports 32bit cpus. I would be extremely surprised if 9 didn't provide a 32bit version after all it isn't that difficult for them to maintain given the design of NT. Also are there actually …

Re: Windows XP - Keeping Alive & Connected Beyond 2014...

I'm sure I'll have XP around and connected for a long time to come. I dont think I have an answer to that question, I expect if I was going to play one or the other anytime soon it would be Unreal because I've only finished it once but I don't think I'd say one or the other. What I should do is go finish Strife instead that sounds like a much better idea.

Re: WinXP and Office XP/2003 Updates after April 2014

in Milliways
No problems with W8 for me but anyway. I expect what will happen is that the update servers and activation servers will continue to run for a few more years. I mean looking at a thread on msfn apparently Windows Update v4 stopped working on 98 in 2011 a full 5 years after the support ended for the …
