Beat the Modern Warfare 2, it was ho-hum. Playing in pan-o-ramtastic mode [5120x1200] did make the game more fun though. Playing games on a multi-monitor setup reminds me of the early days of 3D acceleration. Where you mostly selected the games to play if it would take advantage of your Voodoo card. …

For free i got this one from Russia (now i have to look for something in return). That's a PCChips board... they did a lot of weird stuff like that. I can't say I've ever seen that particular one though. I have a PCChips board that houses a Slot 1 and a Socket 370, can't use them both at the same time though. Horrible board, makes a Celeron 400 perform like a Pentium 200. :pppt:

The Geforce GTX 260 was also a good investment. I picked one up at the end of 2008 for under $200, same as I paid for my 8800 GT, and the thing is twice as fast. Playing Fallout 3 at 1600x1200 on high with a nice steady 60fps was a delight with the GTX 260, as the 8800 GT was a 1024x768 medium …

Don't forget about the ATI 3D Rage Pro, I figure it's on par with the Riva 128. Oh and those Pentium MMX's are all good overclockers. My 200 easily does 266 (75x3.5) and with a good motherboard, memory and cooling you can push them to 290 (83x3.5).

Didn't buy these but checked out a pile of parts that was going to the skip. There is more there, especially a huge dual CPU server board with onboard storage controller.
