Errrrr i read "disk system". which does not sound like "RAM" to me. But still 300 MB for 20K sounds like a bargain? The RAM is just 16K, so no idea about that?

Most probably the seller didn't even notice the scam himself. These were actually a pretty good scam, usually the BIOS of these was manipulated so it would even report the nonexisting cache to be "fully functional".

If there are cases where it is really required to have each disk on a physical or virtual floppy i of course support the idea - may it be due to copy protection or just a very stubborn installer. However, from my experience about 98% of all appz and games installed fine if you just haul all files …

If it's just about a "video card", not a "3d card" i would recommend most older S3 models, these are fairly compatible and supported by virtually every windows version and DOS game "out of the box". Otherwise the Rage 128 series is of course also nice and quite compatible.

Okay, here's my thought: To run swapfile.exe you will need to run in real mode. You can't change swap file settings in standard or enhanced mode. So having a swap file or not should not influence the booting of windows 3.0. It should run perfectly fine with or without any swap file in any memory …
