What version of Dosbox are you using? AF2 works well in 0.74-3. What does it say if you execute the mem command?

W10 simply blocks those old copy protections. Never heard of them messing up W10 so badly that you have to wipe and reinstall. OP must have gotten confused or broke something else in the process of trying to install the game. Anyway, I believe F22 Lightning 3 will work, as do most Novalogic Windows …

This is interesting info. I had no luck with this game a few years ago in W10 because it runs at the speed of light. None of the slowdown apps I tried were helpful. They did slow everything down, but caused the entire system to stutter horribly. So instead I played it successfully in PCem.

Future Shock is infamous for its poor performance and instability. It can be a challenge getting it to run well in SVGA mode even in Dosbox. PCem is even slower, sadly. 1 & 2 don't have any CD audio tracks, they have digital music. I don't have a copy of NFS3 on hand right now, but I think none of them used Red Book audio.
