I have not tested Direct3D and OpenGL on Savage4 on MMX200. As I see on AnandTech Savage4 OpenGL CPU Scaling, the MMX200 is not the best for Savage4, but still much better than Trio3D (because the basic 3D capability of Trio3D). Installing Win98 on top of MS-DOS 6.22 can be usable, although Win98 will delete some of the MS-DOS 6.22 files (for example scandisk because it is truncates the long filenames). But for DOS gaming the 6.22 boot files and the himem.sys; emm386.exe will be enough.

Yes, the digital out sound quality (in DOS games that sapports it in native) was a surprise for me because I have expected much more. However I have not tested the digital out on Windows. But the General MIDI quality is perfect as all other Roland GM compatible device.

Mostly I have only that drivers and tools what I have found on driver CD-s. I have not checked for last version for all tools. Maybe later I'm going to update the page but without game patches and third party tools. (Now I working on other project.) Maybe later some third party tools also.

Yes, it seems I was wrong with GUS and FM (as I remember, I have seen GUS in some game FM setup menu so I thought it). I'm using my GUS classic only for games that have native GUS support and have not MT-32 or General MIDI support (for these I'm using Roland devices).
