Re: an improvability of command "imgmount"

floppy images are swapped with ctrl-f4 yes, but you can't mount more than 1 image with imgmount so CTRL-F4 is useless.Only the BOOT command can do this but what about the non-booting images that are the majority? also, segmantation faults happen all the time using imgmount at least in my computer.

Re: 16-Bit VESA graphics?

Two of my favorites games support 16-bit graphics in DOS! : The Last Express (yes, it supports DOS!) Star Trek : A Final Unity It would be great to see them running in DOSBox! (although dogslow!) WE NEED 16-bit color! (and an Itanium!!!)

Frames Per Second

I believe that the display of the FPS during a game is useful. Also this could be used by DOSBox (in the future, where PC's become more powerful) to find an optimum speed for a game automatically,by trying to reach a specific FPS (eg 30). What do you think?

Innocent Until Caught

Some questions about this great classic by Psygnosis: In order to hear sound effects, i downloaded "Updated DOS Drivers for SBPro 2 (CT-1600) (v1.0) (OLD)" as robertmo suggested. What must be done next? Just copy the file ct-voice.drv in a directory and adjust the autoexec with SET SOUND=... ? Also, …

The problem is that even when you run the original DOS …

Dynamic core

First of all, i must say that dynamic core is great! I can play Full Throttle at full speed (~7000 cycles) in my PIII 866! My question : Is it true that no matter the improvements it gets it will never be able to play every dos game? Normal core will always be the most compatible?

Re: DOSbox and Virtual PC 2004

They didn't. They bought VPC from another company (Connectix). You are absolutely right about that. Clasic Microsoft's tactic. They bought the programmers along with the license. Dosbox team, are you next? The speed of virtual Pc is by virtualization. Then,it's obvious! So another …

DOSbox and Virtual PC 2004

I have my hands on Microsoft's new Virtual Pc 2004 for some days now and i admit it is a very good program especially for running old Windows 3.11 and 95 games. My anticipation of course was to try DOS with it and i share with you my experience: (i make a comparison just for fun, although that's not …
