DOSBox svn is started with -fullscreen and runs in text mode. When another program is started in a new window, dosbox switches to windowed mode. Can I prevent it? Linux, X11, nvidia drivers. Other fullscreen programs e.g. mpv with vo=vdpau don't behave this way.

You are quite right, apparently I got so used to the way windowed mode looks that automatically assumed it to be correct. But it means that release builds always have incorrect and incorrectable aspect, doesn't it?
