Re: DOSBox Game Launcher (DOSBox Frontend)

Epsilon, what OS are you on, and what Java version are you using? I'm on Arch Linux. I use openjdk 8.u252-1 Launching DBGL using 64-Bit VM 1.8.0_252 on Linux v5.7.6-12-tkg-pdsamd64, HSQL Database Engine 2.5.0, SWT v4932gtk Startup (SWT:28469): Gtk-WARNING **: 23:31:28.827: Negative content width -2 …

Re: DOSBox Game Launcher (DOSBox Frontend)

You are right!, and it looks like it's fixed now. The gifs simply do not load, and don't crash the program. Regardless heres a sample of the files that previously caused crashing. https://anonymousfiles.io/qMqC3ZFK/ Strange, I've tried multiple systems (Windows, Fedora, Linux Mint) but I'm unable …

Re: DOSBox Game Launcher (DOSBox Frontend)

Thanks for the heads-up Epsilon. Apparently, some images (probably .gif) fail to load which crash DBGL. I've made a few changes to prevent this from happening and log a failed load, to hopefully find out what's going on. Can you please update to this new build and check which images fail to load? …

Re: DOSBox Game Launcher (DOSBox Frontend)

I'm getting a lot of crashes on beta 12. Just clicking titles in list can crash the program. Error looks like this. Launching DBGL using 64-Bit VM 1.8.0_252 on Linux v5.7.4-8-tkg-pdsamd64, HSQL Database Engine 2.5.0, SWT v4932gtk Startup (SWT:11044): Gtk-WARNING **: 03:49:09.873: Negative content …

Re: DOSBox Game Launcher (DOSBox Frontend)

Epsilon, can you please try this new build to see if it solves the paths issue you're having? I'm not sure how these paths could have got mixed up as they did, but resolving the problem should not be too complicated. I've installed dbgl092b7 and it works perfectly :) Paths are correct as well as …

Re: DOSBox Game Launcher (DOSBox Frontend)

I'm having some strange issues with DBGL on Linux, using java 8 (openjdk). First of all, I upgraded from, I think 0.84, or 85 to 0.91. But DBGL cannot find any of the data now. It looks for a path that looks like /profiles\profilename and /captures\capturename, instead of /profiles/profilename and …

Re: DOSBox ECE (for Windows)

It's not true that noone was using the Linux version, I was for one. Though I compiled it from the source, but still used it. Oh, ok. One person was using the linux version after all. :) Might I ask why you compiled it again for yourself? Did you make any changes before compiling? I'm using Arch, …

Performance degredation in recent builds on Linux

I've been noticing some weird performance degredation in recent svn builds. I'm running DOSBox on Linux. With a game on max cycles it will skip and lag. With max 90% and 80% it skips and lags, even with set cycles I see the issue. If I for instance move the mouse cursor around fast on the menu in …
