I'd be happy to try a patched version! Would bypassing the RTC check affect functionality much? No, it will still use the RTC. What's your machine? IO address conflict with another card? Some kind of weird ISA timing thing? Pentium II 233Mhz, 32MB RAM, MS-DOS 6.22. Took out other card (an SB2.0), still the same problem. On further inspection of the corruption of the disk, the only file that I can't seem to access correctly at all is BASE.IMG... rrrgh, so close! You should just copy one of the other IMG files in place of BASE.IMG as a temporary solution. It'll look wrong in-game, but at least it might get it …
