Re: Roland SCC-1 - MIDI garbled?

in DOS
I would suggest a recap of the card, if you were in EU I'd do it for you for free... Yes, now that you mention it there is a bit of brown that is suspicious. Crap. I'd love to have it recapped, just need to find someone skilled and with the time to do so, seeing as I have neither :/ Am wanting to …

Re: Roland SCC-1 - MIDI garbled?

in DOS
So I cleaned and checked the jacks, all seems well with those. The RCA outputs work now, but I get the same garbled result. Also tried changing the I/O address, but to no avail. Plopped it in another machine to make sure it wasn't the ISA ports or anything, and nope, it sounds like the same messed …

They could both be married to other people and completely unattracted to each other; you're STILL gonna get that tension from two personalities like …

Re: Ancient DOS Games Webshow

Just watched it, and yeah, great video on this classic. Just have the floppy version myself, but have had no luck getting the CD. Also, Clint's latest LGR video happens to be an inventory-adventure / first-person shooter too! I swear we don't plan these coincidences! ^_^; http://lazygamereviews. …

Re: Ancient DOS Games Webshow

"Feels more like a high school programming project than an actual game sold at retail" is a fantastic way to sum up Xenophage. By no means the worst game of all time, but easily the worst of Apogee and one of the worst PC-exclusive fighters. Happy to have my boxed copy, as it's a strange collectible …
