The SS***.exe have to be loaded from config.sys, and they should complain when they don't find their chipset... Try the utility tellme.com from PCMCIA Sound Cards Also, is there any options in the Bios to change the PCMCIA between Intel PCIC compatible and Cardbus?

How much memory does the cdisk driver use? The Datafab drivers (epathd.exe and aspihdrm.exe) need 50K in total.

Ah you took a gamble and got that one, nice that it works on your 286 atleast. The Datafab model works on a 8088 cpu, and I believe the one by Sandisk should too as they use the same driver for Windows 9x.
