A Pentium 4 would run DosBox I believe. Do a google search for PCMCIA sound and see where most of the info comes from!

For Pentium 1 machines, you can also get better performances by using a video player like QVpro under DOS or the Xing Mpeg1 player under Windows. Smacker videos plays very well in DOS on 486 machines. A similar thread from 2013 with details: Recommendations for fullscreen video on a 486 DX-66?

You can make different hardware profiles in Win9x, I used them to share a single hdd between 2 laptops without issues.

PCMCIA cards have a small memory that contains some config parameters and the brand/model, the utility cardinfo from the cardsoft directory can show it the brand/model name.

Card service is loaded, despite complaining that Socket service isn't, so your card's driver seems to work. Can you post your config.sys?
