Try to load the appropriate sound driver manually before running the game, look for the .com files in the game directory.

The CD version has the No Dma setting and speech, and also a bunch of audio driver that don't show up in the settings menu, lpt dac for example.

Copy the zipfile.zip file from your disk #1 to your computer and rename it from zipfile.zip to zipfile.z01, continue with disk #2, changing it to .z02 and so on with disks #3 and #4, copy the .zip file from disk #5 and leave it as zipfile.zip. That's the review that made me look for pcmcia sound cards in the first place, and prompted me to start this thread! The author is wrong about the Media Vision/Eiger Labs connection though, Eiger Labs only sold a 1688 chip based card rebranded from Fujitsu, not counting the sound/cdrom card.

You don't need both joydv.sys and joydv.com, only the latter. Can you try another game? What kind of gamepad or joystick are you using?
