I've been looking all over the internet for an S3_3000 VESA driver for DOS and couldn't find it. Can anybody help me out?

I just want to share information with my mother's computers. One such has a USB drive but two don't. Besides, if I put them on a flash drive, I can't use them at my program. How do I format and use high-capacity floppies (i.e. >1.4MB) under Win32? I have 2M, but it only works for DOS. I want it for Win32 and have Win98, WinXP and WinVista. I still have some old Win 3.1 aplications from when I played on a Win3.1-based 486SX33MHz PC, including After Dark, videos and some games. When I had that system, I eventually had to compress the hard drive. After that, it still lasted until a virus hit it. I'd really like to see some of this stuff …

I'm sorry. 🙁 Lately, I've been on a compression kick and desire to compress everything. Besides that, I want to put stuff on floppies for older computers (486/VGA laptop, Dell Win98/P2 PC) and desire to make as much room available as possible.

Thank you. I'll look at it later. BTW, I'm not ready to install WinMount. Can I get a real NTFS-formatted floppy on WinXP/Vista? I formatted a few disks and the option wasn't there. Besides that, NTFS compression is poor, and I want a better way to compress files.

How do I create and use floppy images for use in DOSBox? Is there a way to compress information on them other than using an executable compressor (UPX) or an archive compressor (PKZIP or RAR)? Thank you.

I have a few suggestions for DOSBox: * long filename support * usage of compressed disk images * ANSI text support * A RAM drive for temporary information might minimize some HDD clutter during DOSBox operation What do you think?

Sorry, I meant FURD19_i, available at http://www.resoo.org/docs/dos/free_software/disk2.htm. Look under OTHER DISK UTILS. I tried it. The XMS version broke with a divide error and the EMS version locked up. (No text displayed on the screen and I didn't get the command prompt back.)

Do the DOS ramdisk utils not work? Most DOS ramdisks load from config.sys, and those that don't may interfere with DOSBox's drive mounting approach. I will try XMSDSK now and get back to you. I for one cannot see any point to a RAM drive in DOSBox A RAMdisk shouldn't improve speed much in this case …
