Re: PowerVR Fun Thread

I've tried running both of my Voodoo 1 cards (Monster 3d and a Techworks) on 66,100, and 133 mhz systems I have and they work fine on 66 and 100, but all I get on 133 is a screen full of weird color blocks. Thats on my Athlon and Athlon XP and Tualatin systems. I remember reading something here on …

Re: PowerVR Fun Thread

The first M3d I bought 2 years ago for $15 which wasn't too bad, but I've been looking for another for a couple months now. When I saw that one, I offered him $40 and he accepted. I'm happy with that, I get to complete the system I was waiting on that card for. Now I can play Tombraider 1 and …

Re: Retro Rig Photo Thread

Thanks Tetrium, will do. Also, forgot to tell you that my machine runs WIN98 SE. Although I've had computers since before time, lol, I never used them to play games til my best friend introduced me to DOOM. Shogo was fun for LAN parties. I remember one of the guys held down the jump key continuously so he was really hard to hit. Then they patched it so it only jumped once per keypress, he quit playing after that, lol. As for Tombraider, I liked the first one best then the 2nd one was ok, after that the …

Re: Your first high performance pc.

hmm, I started with the first 10MHz 8088 and awesome 8 bit VGA card and monitor back in late 87, upgraded that to 12MHz 286 mobo in 88, then 386-40 after that, on to 486 dx2-66, then Pentium 60 with a 17" monitor, then P166 when I bought my Orchid Righteous 3d, slowed down after that...sort of, LOL …

Re: PowerVR Fun Thread

I bought an Orchid righteous 3d back in Dec. 96. ($300 plus shipping, GAH!) It was the real beginning of the 3d paradigm shift. I remember the first time I fired up the tomb raider and glquake patches. Truly awesome. Because of that, I never tried the PowerVR stuff. Now however, I just bought a …
