Stock standard 1st Gen Audigy. Nice card, I personally prefer it over the SB Live range Supports 9x and last card to officially support dos (Audigy 2/4 can be made to work this cards dos drivers)

Very nice looking PC, not much room for expansion but "Pizza box" case dimensions always seemed more pleasing to the eye 386 is bit early for me but can appreciate them (Our 1st PC was a 486 in 95) which came with 8MB RAM, so that should be fine for a 386. Still got 2 of these, 1 is in my Mrs warehouse used for stock control. Good honest workhorses! Was right at the end of Compaq as well, you can get the same PC's with HP branding that's 1 hell of scratched case though

Do think SCSI is your best bet, my Duel Slot 1 Compaq board doesn't even support HDD's on IDE. Sadly drives will be getting on in hours by now but its not like your storing important data on the system

Keep an eye out for a black 5.25 drive, Always thought it was a funny colour all those years ago as PC's were grey then beige but now they fit right in. Better air flow in modern case as well and always nice to see another 486 come alive 😀

This should help you MSDOS 6 Networking. And yes you can run IPX and TCP over the same setup. In fact I would recommend it! File sharing over IPX in DOS is a pain to setup, TCP is much easier
