No sound via DOSBox with Roland MT-100

I was able to get a Roland MT-100 without PSU for a few bucks - but in unknown condition. At home, I connected the MT-100 to a PSB-230 PSU, which I got as spare. Seems to work, as the MT-100 just powered up fine. Playing the demo songs works, as I can hear them via L/R or headphone, so I guess, the …

Re: Newer AWARD Bios for HOT-433?

Sorry, due my bad english, i haven't described it correctly. My board has the 10-Pin header soldered on mainboard. I meant the 10-Pin -> PS/2 Port Slot-"Adapter". Sorry 😒 I don't have one, but would need to play with it and you noted in your previous post.

Re: Newer AWARD Bios for HOT-433?

I don't know if its really for the HOT-433. But in the 433WIE10-Bios, you can find the ID-String "2a4x5h21". This one is also in this Bios here. At least I would asume so. Am I correct, that I need a 10Pin Header for a PS/2-Braket?

Re: Newer AWARD Bios for HOT-433?

Hi! I've flashed this BIOS on mine HOT-433 :) Its quite interessing. Its Version 4.51PG and dated from 2001. Booting from CD-ROM is working. 1024K Cache ist detected. Very nice is also: Am5x86 ist correct detected. There is no 8GB Limit. Bios is my 120GB correctly detecting! But there a problem. I …

Re: Problems with my HOT-433

Hi! I am using it sometimes. Its really working fine. I've also upgraded a G400 Max with a DVI-Module in my K6-III+ 550 PC. Found it years ago on eBay. -> http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/archives_Canada/10509_ca_v1/10509_ca.HTML I just see, that its not directly DVI. Its DFP. I am …

Re: Problems with my HOT-433

Hi! For my understanding, I should use WT with 256MB, because else not all memory is cached? Well, at the moment, my HOT-433 (Rev 1.x - 3.x) is fitted with: Am486DX5-133V16BGC (133MHz @ 33 MHz FSB @ 3.3V) 2x Kingston 128MB Edo Memory (It's funny, that a single 128MB is fully detected) Matrox G200 …

Re: Problems with my HOT-433

Hi! I hadn't any access past few month, as my 433's got recapped. Now I got time to test with 1MB Cache. It seems, that only ctcm16n does not like 1MB Cache? Its really wired. ctcm16n says, no cache, 512k oder 2048k cache. I've also run CACHE.EXE (German Chip-Tool) Picture 1/2 with 1024K Picture 3/4 …

Re: Problems with my HOT-433

Hi! Very interesting :) My opinion of "stable" was, that Win98SE runs fine. It just installed w/o any problems. BUT, i've tried ctcm16n and ctcm17a and both show, that there seems to be none of any L2-cache. But the BIOS itself reports "1024 KB CACHE FOUND". When I start ctcm16n with /L2=1024K, it …

Re: Problems with my HOT-433

Hi! First, my bios is 433AIP16. Today, I've flashed just for fun 433AUE33 (I was unable to flash 433AUS2C with flash465). After this, my CMOS was reset and now it seems to work fine! My hard drive is beeing detected and there are not problems with 1mb cache and 256mb ram. The dallas-module is ok and …

Problems with my HOT-433

Hi! I've got an HOT-433 (Rev 1.x-3.x) with an AMD DX4-100 CPU, 256MB RAM and 1MB Cache. But I've got some troubles. First problem is, that none of my hard disk is beeing detected by the bios. Do I have to select some special options? Its an old 4GB disk from seagate. The disk itself is ok, as its …
