Glad you found the issue. For Win9x builds I tend to use a PCI directsound compatible card.

- Takeout all cards use only the mystique - Load Bios-Defaults - Deactivate all onboard components - try every PCI slot. Mystique is a excellent card! Use the very latest driver (4.31.041 from 1999) for propper vsync!

The older TFT's do works in 70hz. It's not dosgames alone... jazz2 requires 70hz for smooth scrolling!

Sometimes we should make a split in CGA and Hercules...and a special CGA Thread for the not common gfx, like lowres 16colors 160x100 or 320x200 with changing or alternate palette in cga.

I recently took out my G550 to replace it with a G450. The G450 has a better compatibility (EMBM in expendable works). Stargunner in plain dos with SDD 5.3 detects VESA2.0 but the game is still broken. The additional 40 lines (320x240) have weird colors and seem not to be part of the scrolling-gameplay.

please test if you get "stargunner" to work in vesa mode (320x240) I currently get a black-screen. please also test chasm the rift, vbetsr and vbesetup does not offer more than 320x200 640x400 and 640x480. If I do not use sdd5.3 instead of vbetsr/vbesetup I get 6 additional and working resolutions …

I had also to lower the refresh rate for 512x384 from 85 hz to 60 hz. You can do this in the monitor properties. Choose MGA-Monitor and edit an Default Monitor. Btw. i checkedthe DX-Driver. It's version 3.51. I don't have GTA 2 :( This will be ignored for the games that use the bios defaults on …

Sorry guys, I tend to have the problematic machines... sbemu-x with jemmex throughs a error6 and a lockup and using quemm everything seems OK but there is no sound at all. Thx! I report later...would be really great if sbemu-x works...on plain dos the sb128pci drivers did not work. The only pci-soundcard that worked in that machine with that chipset was the ess-solo1. (SB128/SBlive did not work)

Does SBEMU also support PCI soundcards like "SB128PCI" like ensonic ES1371 ? On my FSC -Scovery 211/212 SBEMU detects "ENS" and shows all settings (IRQ/DMA etc) but JEMMEX throuhs a freeze while initializing the card. Qemm does work without a freeze but sound is not played.

I also have a FSC-XS D1215 with AIMM module 4MB. It's a very nice machine but there is currently no amithlon support even if it has a linuxkernel-driver.
