Try using a different cdrom driver, I seem to recall oakcdrom.sys doing the same thing on my system with xwing. I use the mitsumi driver and it works well; it takes up less memory too.

Do you have a pic of it? I have a couple of the Audio Excel 3d cards discussed in this thread and re-tried one recently, but - as mentioned earlier in this thread - it doesn't work with Mortal Kombat, which is a deal breaker for me.

I've never been to a shop that had all that stuff, and that sat idly by while I spent hours rearranging and taking photo's of their collectors items. It's a lot of cash to most people, but there are plenty of folks running around with half a mil to spare.

The FM sounds nice on these but I reckon the FX are a little bit weak compared to other (creative) cards I've tried. That and the full sized DB not fitting turned me off.

Very neat and tidy, I like those chunky slot 1 heatsinks. The Matrox sounds like the way to go for now - you're not interested in having a Geforce card in there with the voodoos (when you get them) for the best of both worlds? Any chance we could have a pic of the front of the case too?

Missing drive bay covers are a massive pain in the bum. I had a huge pile up until recently - bought a bulk lot from eBay and added to as I dismantled cases over the years - and I still couldn't ever find the right size / level of yellowing when I needed one. So I chucked them all out.
