It could be anything, maybe try a different AGP card thats not ATI brand or a Radeon and see. The AGP port shouldn't be popping cards like that though.

Well, I dunno what I did different during that re-install of the entire system but it's finally seemed to have fixed itself. However i'm suspecting it was because I had the SB16's csp driver line in config.sys set to devicehigh instead of just device.

See, that's the problem with modern "retro" games. They look all pixelated but that's not really how the games used to look on the correct CRT screens. Agreed, they look pixelated on the the wrong type of CRT monitor too. Guess you need a rather highish number dot pitch monitor to get the correct …

Yeah I agree, I only remembered because a friend of mine in the late 90's who was Chinese had a crapload of bootleg MS-DOS game cd's, and Liangshan Heroes of Water Margin was one of the games on it. Very good beat 'em up!

Yup, unfortunately greed talked. I really like GEOS on the C64 and C128, works awesomely when combined with a CMD hard drive for that platform too.
