I have the cable. What concerns me is that it says 230v. Im in the US with 120v and I dont want to damage it. I'm wondering if even though it says 230v the unit can take 120v because they claim to be universla. But before plugging it in, I wanted to get verification so that I don't damage the unit. …

I found another cable. So I have 1. power cord rated at 6A at 250v 2. power cord rated at 7A at 125v The 6A at 250v is better no? Is it good enough for the Sc-8850? -Tristan

My Roland Sc-8850 just came in the mail but there's no power cord. I understand that the Sc-8850 has a universal power supply that can go from 100v-230v and it peaks at 11 watts. I have both but there seems to be some kind of conflict. When both are powered and I boot up, I run this at the dos prompt A: but then I see the light on the 5.25 floppy going on. Got it to work on DOS 6.0. I used CTCU to change to 300 for the MIDI address on the AWE64GOLD. However, when I go to the scc-1 utility sccchk it says that it cannot find MPU-401 on 330. I can play midi files just find though. The jumpers on the scc-1 card are the defaults. Kind of strange. But it …

I see ok great thanks. I couldn't get it to work using device manager. I could change the resources but it wouldn't configure it like ctcu.exe would. I'm just going to buy DOS 6.22, I've been needing to. -Tristan

I never installed DOS. I just installed windows 98SE which comes with DOS. Ok so I use the device manager to change the midi address to 300. Do I need to change the IRQ and DMA for the SCC-1 to work properly? So I make these changes in windows 98SE and then when I reboot and go into DOS those …
