During the plague era though it very rarely happened they still would go bad while the boards were still on store shelves as they were that bad, I don't stress over caps and just replace as needed or just put it away till later.

I have to think the same as canthearu suggested that either the instruction doesn't exist that the applications are expecting and they have never been tested to run on this cpu.

Lithium ion batteries do odd things as they age due to forming copper shunts inside the cells, changes in temperature can sometimes revive them so they can return from the dead and work as if nothing had happened then eventually die again.

It is good to see that people are sticking with Intel chipsets for overclocking as Nvidia chipsets are power hogs that said some of the 780/790i boards can clock high provided one manages to deal with the cooling, DDR2-1066 is pretty much the standard for this.

I wonder how it performs at 60 and 66mhz should it be overclockable and the board can cope with such clocks, I do have a DX50 with a stable board but have yet to build a system with it due to being short on AT cases and supplies.

Fun to build with but for regular use I wouldn't bother outside of retro gaming as they run too hot and not all that fast, like others have said Avoid the 125w versions. Phenom (both gens) on the other hand is still nice in my book.
