I think the patch could use an update with current CVS. I'm getting some errors compiling it in sdl_main.

In your patch, around line 3214 the whole zmbv stuff is getting killed for some reason. After adding this back manually I was able to compile dosbox again and my normal testcase (win311 with tseng drivers) ran fine. So there is something bad with zmbv

Couldn't you install DOS 6 in Dosbox and format from there? you can, but at first the question was wether Windows still support 5.25" floppies. Dosbox doesn't have direct access to the hardware, so if the host operating system doesn't support it, then dosbox can't either...

he he, the floppys look funny, too. I have to try how it'll look in smaller sizes. Chaosfish: I like the futura font, only now that I look at it again, the other icons are more "dos-like" 😀

because the whole mounting is just too confusing for them. The same reason everyone seems to like to mount c c:\ and then have to cd to their actual game directory...

ok here go my tips, I just started WC2 from the EA Classics CD-Rom and had music and speech in Dosbox. Don't mount c:\ but make a new dir in c:\ called dosbox and mount that, also mount the CD-Rom as d:\ drive. The commands are: mount c c:\dosbox mount d f:\ -t cdrom Now I don't know if you have the …

things to check: xms=true ems=false check that the files are not write protected. check that the irq in the setup for the sound card matches the one in dosbox (7 by default).
