It could be a compiler issue. We had similar things happen with Exult as well. Some things worked in the gcc build and not in the MS compiler built and also the other way round. Worth checking.

Or look somewhere how the generic US keyboard is layout to find what key on your keyboard is the right english one. ":" for example should be the key to the right of "L"

The Tseng Vesa driver from ykhwong's site doesn't work with Crusader, the Univbe from SciTech's Display Doctor 6.53 works (the older stand alone Univbe from Scitech's site doesn't work as well).
