It is around 90 euro for 1 kilo of cpu. I shopped by a scrapper in his bails of hardware and took with me 3x awe64, 2x soundblaster pro 2.0, 2x 3com 10mbit nic, 6x 40gb single platter maxtor, voodoo1, matrox g400max, quantum bigfoot, adaptec 2940uw, Some nice psu for 2 euro each.

Scsi raid on the 32bit pci bus is useless. But I have a dual P3 1400 with 2x pci64 66mhz! and 4gb sdram! I gonna do a build video about that machine too. Need to find a nice case for it. Its a Terretec EWS88MT soundcard module with 8x audio in and 8x audio out en 2x midi! yeah its fun to fill every bay with stuff that matters! :D The only hd bay left is filled with the 40pin flat cabel from the terratec. A pentium3 with 3dfx hardware and windows 98 is nice to play 3D games like quake2 later tombraider need for speed etc. Most later games from 2002 and up can be run on a new machine with windows7. So in my opinion you don't really need a retro machine from that era. Maybe the slowest system for a MS- …

This board will go upto 333mhz pentium2. And maybe faster celeron chips but not sure. Intel boards just take stock cpu's no overclocking but rocksolid. Don't know if the slot1 to socket370 converters wil work in this board.
