Asus seems to be pretty reliable from personal experience and the 2D quality at least in my eyes is no different from a good matrox card.

Today i finally got in my hands a decent KVM (Aten CS-84A) which was pretty much required between the work PC, the old one for general use and the retro one; The keyboard and mouse emulation finally solves my issues at boot. Also this thing is built like a tank.

I tried using the vintage version of CPU-z on my pentium 4 systems (willamette etc.) but it tells me that the system is too recent, this with WinME as operating system, it strikes me as weird since i was able to use it on XP and with an athlon XP.

The controller works pretty well, the only problem is the X\Y rotation stuck on always pressed even after calibration, is there a way to disable specific buttons in XP or some old softwares for gamepads customization?

It was daemontools, apparently on winME 3.47 usually ends up crashing the OS on startup, version 3.44 is recommended. I thought you were experimenting on a clean freshly installed system... It depends on the fans and how much airflow is actually needed through the case to keep the case temps within 1-2C of the ambient temps. And when I do replace fans, I will either use working ones I already have or buy and use high quality fans. High quality fans are not cheap unless you find them …

I use a vga to hdmi converter for the capture card, the capture card is used to record my games and for streaming, you can omit both and just use vga.

I use a G200 on my MMX build and i did not encounter any of the issues noted on the matrix BUT that only after using 136 in 1 to slowdown my CPU to a 386\486 etc. personally after slowing down matrox cards work pretty damn smooth.

I'm trying to install any driver wdm or vxd, from original discs and what not, the moment the card gets recognized the system freezes. Any suggestion? Besides changing OS, for now i want to see if i can solve this on ME.
