I understand all that but what is the advantage of using a Voodoo over a Riva TNT2 for example? What's all the fuss? I understand that some games had exclusive 3dfx support but just how many games are we talking about here?

Are you really sure that it has already HDD Auto Detection implemented? With old BIOSes you have to enter the values yourself as Drive User Type 47. They often get cutted to 1023 Cylinders, so this is nothing to worry about. You should get at least 504 MB. You have to set the floppy drives type too …

This is fricking awesome! I'd just stick two systems in there, place the case under my workdesk and forget about it. This would actually save space and as somebody mentioned, KVM would also come in handy.

Honestly I don't understand the obsession with "period correctness".. it's so flexible that there's no point in pursuing it. There's a great great deal of games that you can play on a 286 w/ VGA. We even played Wing Commander 1 on a 286@25 MHz, 1MB RAM and SBPro. It ran pretty good 😀

A bit off topic but I just obtained a PS/1 2133-114. Not as beefy as the Consultant but still a nice machine in its own right with 4 Megs of RAM and a 170MB hard drive 😁

That fan on top of the heatsink seems redundant. A heatsink of that size should be able to keep a Pentium cool without one. I've never seen a non-server Socket 7 motherboard with 8 SIMM slots. Sweet.
