The game doesn't want to initialise the audio mixer. The game gets the CD audio volume at 0% always, unless you reset the Windows mixer. What could be a potential issue and a solution? Do you perhaps mean this game https://www.mobygames.com/game/3276/excessive-speed/ rather than "Excessive Sound" ?

The pc doesn't like the cds that I've tried to burn AT ALL. When I put one in, the computer freezes or becomes excruciatingly slow until I remove the cd from the drive.
