Re: vulnerabilities windows xp and how to cope with it?

in Windows
The problem is the windows kernel at heart. and the simple fact of one large partition and 1 single format (exploitable as hell) a linux set up uses at minimum 3 partitions unless you choose to make it all one. the average good set up root, swap, home, usr, temp, and var add to this that linux has …

Take a leap of faith and try a linux distro with Wine if you like older games. I am having plenty of success running many, many older games. If you use Office, look for alternatives. I haven't had Windows as my main OS for nearly 8 years now and enjoying every minute of it some programs may not run …

Well ‘Commodore: A company on the edge’ was worth the effort but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who isn't specifically interested in Commodore - its non sequential stream of consciousness style could be hard work at times. Re: Dos 6 conventional memory tricks

im sure its on here somewhere but if I remember correctly there is a specific order in which the commands in the autoexec .bat and config.sys should be that makes a lot of difference in how fast the system will boot up and run. Ill look through my old files and see if i can find it.

again I apologize for the remark but understand where it came from and why I had just finished a 36 hour stint of rebuilding a server farm because one of the twits decided to store some porn on it that caused the feds to confiscate every computer. including all the backup tapes, drives, and optical …
