Ive always been curious, as I had a 8900c in my first pc. As a kid I was on a quest to see if the 8900c can do 15 or 16 or 24 bit color. Mine couldnt back then. Did the 8900c support it if you had the correct ramdac or was it just the 8900d and 9000s?

If anyone is looking for the cache module for the infamous pc chips m919 motherboard, there's a guy on ebay that is making the cache module as a reproduction Its a DIY situtation but the price is right. the board itself is 10 bucks shipped plus he provides a BOM on Mouser which is about 11 dollars …

anyone remember a benchmarking program in windows 3.1 where it was a fake word processor, spreadsheet, and graphics programs and it ran them on the screen and spit out results? I remember this program as a kid but cant remember what it was called

the bottom chip is likely a 27c256 or 27c128, the top one looks way newer and is probably a 28 or 29 series.

not likely. you need to peel back the stickers and see what kind of rom it is. Unless the rom's are pin compatible AND the bios itself is compatible (rare), i wouldnt do it unless you want to fry your board or chip

Hello, I'm a n00b with the GUS, I set it up in dos and im trying to play games like Duke3d and Doom2. The digital sound portion works correctly but I am not getting any music. I downloaded the latested GUS drivers for DOS from Vogons and set it up sucessfully but not sure if I am missing anything …
