Quake 3 could use the second cpu for audio. Definitelly is using it for something helpfull. superb build Chinny, luck you for that NIB motherboards. I'm fan of Pentium Pro's too. But why Nt 3.5 and not NT 4.0 with SP6 instead? Pentium PRO's will work little better on NT 4.0 in my opinion.

AN430TX has Yamaha OPL-3 audio codec and Yamaha OPL-4 ML wavetable on board, LT430TX has this as option. Video subsystem is optional for both models, but AN430TX have optional also an Brooktree video capture processor. Other than that, they are the same boards.

Doom is an old game and therefore the fpu is not used. But at over 80 fps it doesn't matter that the mmx is ahead of P Pro. More important is that the Pentium Pro has a much more powerfull Fpu unit that Pentium MMX has and this is counting in the more intensive games like Quake and Unreal engine …
