"Cosmetic"? It holds the hard drive caddy in place and provides pins between the hard drive (whose pins are recessed as a part of the caddy) and the laptop (whose contacts are recessed), it's fairly integral. I came across SODA Off-Road Racing the other day and realized that maybe there are more amazing Windows 95 games I haven't tried yet. So here I am, asking for recommendations. Anything is fine, even commercial stuff, but I prefer action games, RPGs, and simulations, preferably in full 3D.

The Soundblaster 16 (PCI) card I ordered doesn't seem to be detected by the BIOS, and the driver installer doesn't seem to notice it either. Any ideas?

My 486/33 runs Windows 95 fine. It is a little slow to startup but fine once it runs. A K5 will run it very very easily. A K5 would even run 98 although 95 would be faster Too bad I've been having problems finding Win95...though I may or may not be able to get this one ISO-and-floppy image set …
