Well, the performance is bad in general, not only for new games. Q3A = 118.2 vs 182.3 or UT = 44.1 vs 61 fps. I don't know how good it will perform in windows 98, all these numbers are measured in XP... still it shouldn't be that much different. I guess for older games this board wil do just fine. …

I have one. Nice looking board, but thats it. Performance of the AMD-760MPX is just terrible. Also this board is quite picky about RAM sticks - only some are working. And early revisions lacks USB support due to chipset bug, you must use PCI USB controller. Performace comparsion - 2x AXP 1600+ …

My 2900XT OTOH is still fully operational. It's sitting in a drawer right now, but it's seen quite a bit of use and I'm sure it will outlast any 8800 out there. Sorry... this claim is nonsense. - Oblivion stutters badly with drivers newer than ~10.6 on XP. Could be nForce4 related. - MSAA does hit performance hard as reviews showed. I can confirm these two issues. I think the 5850 result from the ones I posted is the closest to ideal, the other shapes are are a result of angle dependent optimization, so I guess the geforce 6 and 9500 PRO are trying to do it (performance optimizations) in similar ways, although I think the 6150 is better because it's a lot …

A Willamette P4 is not a good CPU for running Doom 3... 1024*768 Ultra: 31.3 FPS :D P4 with SDRAM is very slow - DDR is much better... :) P4 Willamette 1.6 @ 1.92 GHz + Asus P4P800 Dlx. + 2x 512 MB DDR 320 CL2-2-2-5 + GF 7800 GS @ 500/1400 39.3 fps http://abload.de/thumb/doom3_willametterwz9a.png
