Re: Dosbox & windows driver problem

Canadacow, thanks for looking into the problem. Soundblaster also seems to work fine with Gabriel Knight. Robertmo, Yeah I'm talking about the cd version of Atlantis. With regular dosbox 0.61, both midi and soundblaster work for me, the problem only occurs with the MT32 versions.

Re: Dosbox & windows driver problem

Nope, no change in the soundblaster issue. Soundblaster doesn't work in Lemmings 2, Indiana Jones - Fate of the Atlantis nor Monkey Island 2. It is a shame, neither Scummvm's or regular DosBox's midi music comes near the quality of this MT32 emu, but you can't have it all can you. Guess I just have …

Re: Dosbox & windows driver problem

As for getting both the sound blaster and MT-32 playing simultaneously, if I remember correctly, such a task was nearly impossible with the real hardware too! No it isn't impossible, most people I have talked to who have MT32 have told me they use both. It involed changing some jumpers of the …

Re: Dosbox & windows driver problem

If you can't make the windows driver work properly, maybe you could try to fix the soundblaster support on the Dosbox/MT32. In games like Monkey Island 2 or especially in Indiana Jones, Fate of the Atlantis CD version digital sound would be great.

Re: Missing digital sound

Yeah I suspected that, but it only makes me wonder more why Gabriel Knight works perfectly. Now that I've used to the MT-32 music it's hard to go back to normal midi... :depressed: I'l probably wait and hope that a fixed version will be released soon. Thank you everyone involved with the Dosbox and …

Re: Missing digital sound

Update, same thing with Lemmings 2. MT-32 music works great, but no sound effects. On noramal Dosbox they all work fine. Strangely enough Gabriel Knight 1 works perfectly... Has anyone else had similar problems with any of the games above?

Missing digital sound

I tried searching but couldn't find an answer. For some reason Monkey Island 2 and Indiana Jones Fate of Atlantis [Talkie] are missing all digital sound, voice, sound effects etc. I'm using DosBox 0.61 with MT-32 support. I'm sure it's a problem with Dosbox configuration, in Scummvm everything works …
