my collection of japanese cases from the 90s Are those really from Japan? I think they look neat :D yes they are made in korea or sometimes china but were very common in japan at the time and were sold in computer shops. they were also sold in some magazines in the US but they are very rare here …

my main rig is 10 years old its a dual socket 1366 system based on the supermicro x8dth. the cpus are newer but otherwise the board is unchanged. still gives a lot of newer rigs a run for their money

I knew it right away it's a variant of a foxconn case sold in the pentium 4 era. it's shares some plastic with their cases

i think the perfect machine should be able to replicate images that are just as high of quality as our eyes can see. be portable and repairable so essentiually some kind of 8k+ laptop or tablet , but i'd like the display to be permanetly on my eyes via glasses or implants so it seemlessly blends in …

tried a more up to date driver and that didnt seem to do anything I'm starting to think that this card may just not support pitch shifting

ok i gave a few other midi players a try and it does the same thing so i assume the windows 95 driver is just having some sort of issue the card plays the right notes and its in stereo but its just not pitch shifting so I suppose i have to find a driver where that works

That's up to the MIDI player. depends on the machine but I usually find it's stable so long as the hardware is stable it'll crash on low end junk hardware pretty easy

does the soundblaster 16 not support pitch shifting? I downloaded a few music midis , changed a few instruments using a opl3 soundfount on my laptop , moved the files over to the soundblaster 16 machine and noticed that all the leads don't pitch shift at all. making for some pretty bad and funny …

stock windows xp always seems to have a compatible display driver for even 1 or 2mb onboard gpu's. while windows 98 typically doesn't have a lot of built in drivers. I think it would be very difficult to find a gpu that only had windows 98 drivers , it would need to be very old and just barely …
