They wouldn't because it's not going to be a free upgrade forever and there are some users who won't be eligible for the free upgrade offer at all. Microsoft ISOs have been available for free download for all of their current operating systems. I can't see a single reason why it would be different …

So your problem is that when there is nothing connected to the audio jack, there is no sound? What is wrong with it? Where do you expect sound to come from if nothing is connected? And what does Ultimate Doom have to do with it, since it looks like your claim is generic?

Some things are not clear to me. The fact that you get distortions when 70Hz is converted to 60Hz by the monitor is understandable. How can it possibly affect the game speed? Even if you assume that the game relies on the video card's refresh rate, the monitor does really take 70Hz from the GPU. The …
