MediaGX supports SB16 under real DOS, OPL3 sounds a bit off to me, but I'm no OPL connaisseur. Videowise... Mode X/Mode Y isn't great on MediaGX... Doom will have some slowdown, Lost Vikings will have some scrolling issues.

It's for sale on eBay where it's stated in the description that it's a "combined ISA video/serial card" but I have my doubts. The card does seem to feature D-sub connectors used for VGA/Serial but also a pot and some sort of audiojack socket.

You can also look games that have Gravis Ultrasound and Gravis Ultrasound MAX options. The MAX option uses the WSS compatible codec on the board. If that gives you stereo sound we can narrow it down.

Isn't this the error you get when the Voodoo and the graphics card are using the same memory space? In the device manager you can choose what memory range it uses... If you can get there.

Did you give it the ole' wiggle? Perhaps the speaker output has been used and abused. Ultrinit -dj = Disable Joystick I believe. If the right channel really gives you nothing and mixer settings are ok, perhaps it's an op-amp. Does using WIndows Sound System give you both channels btw?

I have an Omnibook 600CT, but the soundcard implementation is DMA-less, like PCMCIA soundcards. In short, there is no way to get PCM under pure DOS, Windows 9X is your best bet for effects in DOS games. Some games don't require DMA, like Prince of Persia, and will give you sound effects under DOS.

An eSeSIX WLGX01 I think. It's an eSeSIX, but as all labels were removed from the case I'm not entirely sure on the type. It has a risercard for PCI and ISA, but only one slot can used.

I think I had this card, if my memory serves me right. It came with the S-YXG50 CD, but I was severly disappointed that it didn't have a hardware wavetable. The packaging made it sound otherwise. *Edit: Just found a pic of the packaging on Amazon.

What type of GUS? I assume you installed the drivers? Do you use non-default settings for address/irq/dma etc? Is there any memory installed?
