This should be not too complicated. DOSbox loads with a second "DOSbox Status Window" underlying the main DOSbox screen. Sometimes the Status Window interferes with text input into the main DOSbox window. I'd like to have the option to hide or display the Status Window.

The current best practices in the industry, whether iOS, Android, game consoles, etc. is to politely offer the update and install only if the user consents. That's how MS looks to me (Win 7): MS seems to be polite, respectful, and helpful. I sure don't want to have to dig up an old Windows XP box …
